The Many Benefits of Sulforaphane

Sulforaphane is a compound found in broccoli, broccoli sprouts and broccoli seeds. In research studies, it has been shown to support detoxification, healthy inflammation and oxidative stress levels. It has also been studied in the autism community. Some of the many benefits include NRF2 activation, support of Phase 2 detoxification, as well as healthy cardiovascular, respiratory, mitochondria and memory functioning.
KEY BENEFITS:
Activates NRF2 - NRF2 is a protein messenger contained in every cell of the body that sends information to the cell's DNA. Its job is to help regulate the work of antioxidant proteins that can help protect against oxidative damage. Pretty important job, right? In fact, sulforaphane is the most potent activator of NRF2.
Supports Phase 2 Detox - Detoxification has 3 phases which occur in the liver. The body is constantly being exposed to toxins each day so ensuring each phase is working effectively is critical for overall health. In Phase 1, the body starts breaking down the toxins and Phase 2 is especially important to ensure the toxin by-products are sufficiently neutralized before they can cause more damage to the body. Phase 3, the last phase, is the actual excretion of the toxins.
Sulforaphane research provides compelling evidence indicating its PROTECTIVE EFFECT against the following health conditions:
- Cancer
- Lung diseases
- Cognitive decline / Alzheimer’s
- Diabetes
- Heart disease / high blood pressure
Are all sulforaphane supplements the same?
No, absolutely not! Just as the form and dosing matter, so does how the product is extracted, the quality of raw materials used, and how shelf-stable the product is, to name just a few critical considerations. In the case of sulforaphane, it must be first enzymatically converted by myrosinase into its active form to be effective and gut dysbiosis can further inhibit this conversion. Our formulation preserves myrosinase which results in the highest sulforaphane potential in the body, even in those with impaired gut function!
These are the reasons that our Sulforaphane Activated stands out from the rest:
- Uses clean CFO2 patented extraction process
- Capsules are delayed release, allowing for optimal absorption.
- A 5-year shelf life
- NSF Certification and 3rd party tested
- Higher potency formula providing 1200 mg sulforaphane/myrosinasm blend and 60 mg of Glucosinate (or Glucoraphanin) per 2 pill dose.
Suggested Dosage: Take 2 capsules daily or as suggested by your healthcare practitioner.*
*Sulforaphane can act as a mild CYP inhibitor and may possibly affect the metabolism of certain drugs. When taking prescription medication, always check with your physician or pharmacist before starting sulforaphane supplements.
